While in LA, Victoria and I did an impromptu morning photoshoot in West Hollywood - something more serious than what we'd done the day before. Luckily, I brought the Pink Lemonade dress that I printed and made with my mom last month in Tampa. With 5 minutes to get ready on the day of the shoot (my scheduling mistake!) I grabbed the dress and paired it quickly with my new favorite shoes - a pair of holographic pink Doc Martins.
I like these photos because you can see just how well the dress MOVES (which is impossible to capture in my prior stills). I'm also less nervous while walking towards the camera, aside from the fact that I walked too fast on the first take and almost mowed Victoria over...
The LA sunshine did the dress justice, as it's been far too cold to wear in Chicago. It was fun to professionally shoot something that I made myself and it inspired me to continue keeping all doors open creatively. Hell, maybe one day I'll have a line of my own.
Location: Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood
– Caftan dress: Adrianne Hawthorne (tee hee!)
– Boots: Doc Martins in holographic pink
– Earrings: Unknown, from The End in Yucca Valley, CA
