Agatha original

Nov 07 2018

I painted Agatha in the fall of 2018 after a particularly brutal creative block. Earlier that day, I had thrown a canvas in the dumpster after painting over it several times. I felt paralyzed by the fear of failing again. Even though failing is part of the process, it's still hard for me to accept sometimes. Luckily, I didn't give up and I sat back down to paint later that same evening. Agatha is what came of that late night session. She marks the first plant painting I did that wasn't a potted plant in the center of the canvas. She's abstract and has a plethora of bright colors. She reminds me of Miami, or Palm Springs. She will add that little touch of color to any corner of your home.
